When dealing with addresses or locations in Belgium, our API uses the following province codes. These codes are based on the ISO 3166-2:BE standard for Belgium's provinces.

Usage Notes

  • Belgium is divided into three regions: Flanders (VLG), Wallonia (WAL), and Brussels-Capital Region
  • Province codes are prefixed with 'BE-' followed by a three-letter code
  • Provinces in Flanders (VLG) use Dutch (nl) names, while provinces in Wallonia (WAL) use French (fr) names
  • When specifying locations in Belgium in your API requests, please use these exact codes for the province
