When dealing with addresses or locations in Brazil, our API uses the following state codes. These codes are based on the ISO 3166-2:BR standard for Brazil's states and federal district.

Usage Notes
- Brazil is divided into 26 states and 1 federal district
- All codes follow the format 'BR-' followed by the traditional state abbreviation
- The Federal District (BR-DF):
- Includes the capital city Brasília
- Has special administrative status
- Is not part of any state
- When specifying locations in Brazil in your API requests, please use these exact codes for the state or federal district
- All state names retain their proper Portuguese spelling with diacritical marks (e.g., Paraíba, São Paulo, Ceará)
