When dealing with addresses or locations in France, our API uses the following state codes. These codes are based on the ISO 3166-2:FR standard for France's regions (régions).

Usage Notes
- France is divided into 13 metropolitan regions (régions)
- All codes follow the format 'FR-' followed by a three-letter code
- Île-de-France (FR-IDF) contains the capital city Paris
- Corsica (FR-20R) has a special status as a territorial collectivity
- When specifying locations in France in your API requests, please use these exact codes for the region
- This list covers metropolitan France only and does not include overseas territories
