When dealing with addresses or locations in the Philippines, our API uses the following region codes. These codes are based on the ISO 3166-2:PH standard and administrative regions of the Philippines.

Usage Notes

  • The Philippines is divided into 17 regions:
    • 1 National Capital Region (NCR)
    • 1 Autonomous Region (BARMM)
    • 15 Administrative Regions
  • All codes follow the format 'PH-' followed by a two-digit number
  • Special Regions:
    • National Capital Region (PH-00)
      • Also known as Metro Manila
      • Special administrative region containing the capital
    • Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PH-14)
      • Has special autonomous status
      • Replaced the former ARMM
  • Region Names and Acronyms:
    • CALABARZON = Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon
    • MIMAROPA = Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan
    • SOCCSKSARGEN = South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos
  • Geographic Divisions:
    • Luzon: Regions PH-00 to PH-05, PH-15, PH-40, PH-41
    • Visayas: Regions PH-06 to PH-08
    • Mindanao: Regions PH-09 to PH-14
